Taiwan People's Party Chairmanship By-election Results

The Taiwan People's Party held its party chairman by-election on February 15. The voting took place from 9 AM to 4 PM online, and the vote-counting process was carried out under the supervision of Election Committee representative Chen Gau-tzu and lawyer Hu Haoqing. The election results are as follows:

The total number of eligible voters for this by-election was 19,320, with a voter turnout of 47.95%, resulting in 9,263 votes cast. Candidate No. 1, Huang Kuo-chang, received 8,903 votes, accounting for 96.11% of the total votes. Candidate No. 2, Tsai Pi-ru, received 360 votes, accounting for 3.89% of the total votes. 

 

Huang Kuo-chang has been elected as the new chairman of the Taiwan People's Party.

 

Election Committee representative Chen Gau-tzu stated that this by-election was conducted through a democratic, transparent, and fair process, with both candidates presenting their visions for the party during the campaign. Chen expressed gratitude to the two candidates for their efforts and thanked the party members for their participation. The by-election for the party chairman concluded successfully and smoothly.

 

 

The official results will be announced by the Central Committee on February 19.
